Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TrustAgency ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

TrustAgency provides a verification platform for agencies to prove their service revenue by connecting Stripe. We compute revenue bands, generate confidence scores, and provide badges that agencies can display publicly.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Types

  • Agency Accounts: For service providers seeking verification
  • Buyer Accounts: For clients searching for verified agencies (future)

3.3 One Account Per Agency

Each agency may maintain only one account. Multiple accounts for the same agency are prohibited and may result in suspension.

4. Verification Process

4.1 Payment Provider Connection

By connecting a payment provider, you grant us read-only access to your transaction data. You represent that:

  • You have authorization to connect the account
  • The data represents legitimate service revenue
  • You will not manipulate or misrepresent transaction data

4.2 Revenue Bands

We compute revenue bands based on your connected payment data. Bands are approximate ranges, not exact figures. We exclude non-service revenue (e.g., product sales, courses, ads) from calculations.

4.3 Confidence Scores

Confidence scores (Low, Medium, High) are based on factors including refund rates, client diversity, revenue stability, and transaction patterns. Scores may change over time.

4.4 Flags and Review

If our system detects anomalies (e.g., refund spikes, revenue concentration), your profile may be flagged for manual review. During review, your badge status may change to "Under Review."

5. Public Profiles and Badges

5.1 Public vs. Private

You may choose a public or private profile:

  • Public: Visible in our directory, indexed by search engines, shareable badge
  • Private: Accessible only via unique link, not indexed, for private sharing

5.2 Badge Usage

You may embed our verification badge on your website, proposals, or marketing materials. You must not modify the badge or misrepresent your verification status.

5.3 Badge Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke badges if we detect fraud, policy violations, or if you disconnect your payment providers.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Manipulate transaction data to inflate revenue bands
  • Create fake transactions or customers
  • Use multiple accounts to circumvent flags or reviews
  • Scrape or harvest data from our directory
  • Reverse engineer our verification methodology
  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Harass or impersonate other users

7. Fees and Payment

The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid tiers in the future. If we do, we will provide 30 days' notice before charging existing users.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by TrustAgency and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Accuracy of revenue bands or confidence scores
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Fitness for any particular purpose
  • That verified agencies will meet your expectations

You use the Service at your own risk. We are not liable for decisions you make based on information from the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUSTAGENCY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any reason with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
